Alexandria Multi-Car Collision

An Alexandria man was severely injured in a multi-car accident collision on Southbound Interstate 95 outside of Alexandria, Virginia.

According to reports, around 3:15 p.m. a man driving an SUV drove off the highway on I-95 South and struck a the right side of the highway wall going past the Alexandria, VA exit on I-95.  The vehicle hit the wall and two other cars coming southbound collided with the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to a local hospital and is under observation with a head injury.  The drivers of the other two vehicles were treated at the scene of the accident but didn’t require further medical attention.

A spokesman said there is no indication that excessive speed or alcohol played in the role of the accident.  They are currently investing whether the changing traffic patterns or weather played a role in the accident.

The driver has yet to be identified. There are no further reports on this accident.
