Harrisburg Accident on I-84
Harrisburg, PA — A 43-year-old Shippensburg man was injured Friday night after he lost control of his SUV and slammed into another vehicle on Interstate 81 in Harrisburg.
The driver of the SUV was taken to Harrisburg Hospital by Ambulance following the crash.
Authorities said the man was driving north on Interstate 84 in a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder. The accident occurred when the man drifted into the right lane and side swiped another vehicle. He ended up losing control of his vehicle and slammed into an overpass.
The driver and the other motorist were both wearing seat belts however the driver of the Pathfinder suffered severe whiplash from the impact of slamming into the overpass.
Medical personnel arrived at the scene of the accident and rushed the driver of the SUV to the hospital. The other driver was treated at the scene of the accident. Reports indicate the injuries were not life threatening.
According to a statement, the man in the SUV dozed off behind the wheel. Drugs and alcohol have been ruled out.

Accident near Paramus NJ Injures 1
A 23 year old woman lost control of her vehicle this afternoon, possibly because of blown tire. The woman was driving on state highway 208 in Bergen County, New Jersey when she struck another vehicle on the two lane highway before crashing into the left barrier. The driver, whose name has not yet been released, was traveling on state highway 208 near Paramus, when her 2008 Nissan Maxima began swerving out of control.
Whether the tire blew because the driver ran over something in the road is still unclear. According to reports, the driver of the Maxima was taken to a nearby hospital and under evaluation. Officials stated the accident could have been a lot worse if the driver was traveling at a higher speed. According to reports, the driver of the Maxima was merging onto state highway 208 from route 4.
The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were shook up but weren’t hurt.
The accident resulted in about a 20 minute delay from route 4 to 208 while crews cleaned up the scene of the accident. The crash is still under investigation and there are no future reports.

An Orlando man was severely injured Saturday morning on East Anderson Street in Orlando, FL. The man was taking a left from South Magnolia onto East Anderson when his motorcycle was struck on the right side of the bike. The accident caused major delays on both north bound and south bound lanes of I-405. It took emergency crews about an hour to clean up the debris from the accident and remove all three vehicles involved in the wreck.
Authorities stated while the accident looked severe injuries were minimum. Ambulances transported all four injured in the wreck to a local hospital. Reports indicated all injuries were minor.
It is unknown of whether alcohol was the reason for the accident.

Modesto Accident is Fatal
A man in Modesto, California is facing vehicular manslaughter charges after his vehicle collided into a tree, killing his passenger. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Antonio Lourenco of Turlock, CA.

The driver of the vehicle, Lourenco was immediately arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, gross vehicle manslaughter while intoxicated and driving without a valid driver’s license.

Initial reports indicate the crash was a result of slippery roads.
