2 People Injured on RT 114

2 people were seriously injured when a truck driver merging onto Route 114 in Rhode Island, slammed into the back of a vehicle in a merge lane. The accident happened around 5:30 Tuesday evening.

According to initial reports, the truck driver slammed into the back of the vehicle, and proceeded to slam into several trees on the side of the highway. The man that was driving the truck was not injured.

The driver and passenger of a four door sedan were immediately transported to a nearby hospital with severe injuries that were reported as non-life-threatening.

Route 114 lanes were temporarily closed while emergency units responded and transported the two victims from the scene of the crash. The closure lasted for about 25 minutes. The right lane was closed for about an hour while cleanup crews removed debris from the road and embankment.

A driver that was trailing closely behind the truck said the truck driver slammed directly into the back of the other vehicle putting it into a tailspin. Investigators are still questioning possible witnesses. They did make a formal statement that the accident was not due to impairment.

The accident is still under investigation and the status of the victims is still unclear. There are not further reports at this time.

Fort Worth TX Accident

Fort Worth, TX: Local authorities responded to an accident this morning in the Forth Worth area. A four-vehicle accident on Interstate 35W injured two. The accident occurred around 7:30 this monring on I 35W parallel to South Freeway.

The crash happened on the interstate, near East Allen Avenue. Two cars, a truck and tractor trailer were involved in the accident.

According to the preliminary investigation, a 4 door seden was traveling northbound on I-35 when the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided into a Ford pick-up truck. A Honda Accord following close behind, swirved and hit the right side of the sedan. The tractor trailer driver clipped the Honda Accord and vered off the side of the road.

Emergency units were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident. A passenger in the Honda Accord and the driver of the 4 door sedan were injured in the accident. The extent of the injuries is still unknown.

The wreck caused delays northbound as accident crews removed the debris from the roadway.

The accident is currently under investigation.

A Truck Accident in Little Rock, Arkansas Injures 1

A truck accident in Little Rock, Arkansas injures one when a truck collided into a median after being hit by another vehicle.

According to reports, around 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, the highway authorities reported an accident on Interstate 630 minutes from ADR in Little Rock, Arkansas. Reports indicate a truck traveling on Interstate 630 collided with another vehicle. The vehicle which was reported as a 2008 Acura, was proceeding onto Wilbur D. Mills Freeway when the Acura side swiped the truck and pushing it through one lane before colliding into a median.

The man was trapped in his truck and was pulled out by emergency responders. According to the initial report, it took rescuers about 20 minutes to remove the driver from the wreckage. The man who has yet to be identified was transported to a local hospital, where he’s being treated for possible internal injuries.

One lane was shut down while highway crews removed the wreckage from the median. The road was opened about an hour after highway crews responded to the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was charged with reckless driving and was not injured in the accident.

Man Hit on Bike by Truck in Phoenix, AZ

A Tucson, AZ man riding a bicycle was hit by a motorist on North 21st Avenue & West Lewis Avenue, in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday. The accident happened at about 4:30 p.m. according to a witness near the scene of the accident. The witness was a local resident and saw the accident from his porch.

A bike rider traveling between the intersection of 21st Avenue and West Lewis Avenue was struck on the side by a pick-up truck. According to the witness the bicyclist was traveling up on North 21st street which is a marked bicycle route. The driver of the truck was traveling on West Lewis Avenue when he struck the bicyclist.

The bicyclist rider was hit and thrown onto the side of the street before rolling onto the sidewalk. The driver of the truck immediately stopped and called for medical assistance.

According to reports the bicyclist may have not completely stopped at a stop sign. The driver of the truck was going the speed limit when he struck the bicyclist. The injuries were minor and no charges were pressed on either the bicyclist or the truck driver.

I-68 Accident Results in Minor Injuries

I-68 Accident results in minor injuries but causes major delays

An accident on I-68 sent four people to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center after a car wreck Wednesday night. The accident occurred around 7:00 P.M. when one vehicle collided with the other, forcing; the impact of the crash overturned one vehicle onto the ramp of U.S. Route 220. Major delays have been reported.

Reports indicate that the accident was not life threatening. All four people were taken to WMRMC after suffered minor injuries.
