Libertyville, Illinois Wrongful Death Lawsuit
A family of a 12-year-old boy who died during a routine surgery in Libertyville, Illinois was awarded $9 million this week. The 12-year-old-boy died in 1999 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL.
The final judgement and disposition of the case was approved by Judge Raymond McKoski. The attorney Michael Schostok filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Medical Center on the family’s behalf. The attorney is from Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C.
The incident happened almost 9 years ago when Andrew Muno was taken to the emergency room for a cut on his arm after falling at his home. The cut required surgery and doctors orders recommended a dose of antibiotics which the boy had an allergic reaction to. Although the boy had breathing difficulties as a result of the antibotic, the surgeon proceeded with the surgery. The boy died on the operating soon after the procedure was complete.
The family of the victim sued Lake County Anesthesiologists, Dr. Dale Gordon, Condell Medical Center & Kontrick.

Wow, that’s definitely a lot of money, but then, I definitely know that there’s no right amount to compensate the grief and loss the family members are feeling because of a wrongful death lawsuit. The funds can be very helpful, though, in making sure that they can look forward to a much better future for their family. It’s like the child’s way of taking care of his loved ones.
