LawLeaf enters into the Litigation Financing Markets in Canada

LawLeaf is proud to announce the launch of our Canadian division, LawLeaf Canada! LawLeaf Canada! will serve clients in Canada that are interested in pre settlement funding and post settlement funding. Over the last year, LawLeaf has seen a significant increase in applications from Canada and as a result, LawLeaf secured several funding sources for plaintiffs across Canada.

In that time, we began partnering with hedge funds and investors that are interested in investing capital towards this asset class.” said Joshua Shores, Director of LawLeaf. The newly developed division will provide full exposure to an area that is underserved. Due to the lack of options in Canada, LawLeaf believes it will gain significant market share almost immediately. LawLeaf will deploy the same business model that has gained them the reputation as one of the top lawsuit funding companies in the United States.

The company will begin funding plaintiffs that have personal injury lawsuits with the option of financing commercial litigation claims that are settled. The company also has plans on offering financing options to plaintiffs and attorneys that have request amounts of $2,000,000 USD and above for pending commercial and consumer cases.  LawLeaf Canada! will continue offering the same funding options as it does for their clients in the United States. The company will also continue offering lines of credit to those plaintiffs that may be interested in second rounds of funding.

Mr. Shores added, “I believe Canada needs more litigation financing companies willing to enter into this untapped market. If we see the amount of lenders enter into Canada that we saw in the United States just a few short years ago, we will see better rates across the board.”
