Angela Perkins filed a lawsuit in Pike County Circuit Court after her three children were killed October 19, 2009, when her car was hit by an Amtrak train. According to reports, Perkin’s car collided with a train heading northbound and as a result her three children were killed on impact.

Railroad Accident Kills a Man in Anne Arundel County, Maryland

A man was struck and killed by a southbound Amtrak train last Thursday. The man was identified as Timothy Jenkins, of Odenton, MD in Anne Arundel County. The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m. south of BWI Airport, shutting down services for about 2-1/2 hours. An Amtrak spokesman stated that the investigation will continue of why Jenkins was on the track at the time of the collision.

Shreveport Railroad-Car Crash Kills a Woman & Injures Husband

A railroad accident happened in Shreveport, Louisiana when a train crashed into a motor vehicle injuring a man and killing a woman. The Union Pacific train crashed into a Chrysler Concord around 4:30 PM just north of Highway 3132. The passenger of the Chrysler Concord has been identified as Marion Hirsh. Mrs. Hirsh was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Her husband, who was driving, was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
