Missouri Workers Compensation Decrease

A report from the National Council on Compensation Insurance reports Missouri employers may see an 8 percent decrease in workers’ compensation costs in 2009.

The National Council on Compensation Insurance is recommending a 7.7% decrease in overall costs. This would lower the premiums for employees working in the state of Missouri. The recommendation comes after NCCI reported a decrease in worker compensation claims. NCCI makes recommendations each year based upon a their reviews.

Not all states have seen an decrease in workman compensation rates for the 2009 year. The data collected by NCCI indicates Missouri is one of ten states that should see a significant decrease in rates over the 2009 year.
