Alameda County Industrial Accident is Fatal

An industrial accident in Alameda County is fatal. According to reports Ariel Munoz-Garcia, 30, from San Pablo was killed at a forging and manufacturing plant in Berkeley California. The worksite accident happened sometime Thursday evening.

Officials reported that Garcia was struck in the back of the head by a metal grinding wheel. Emergency units arrived at Berkeley Forge and Tool around 10:30 p.m.

California Occupational Safety and Health is currently investigating the accident. They are currently inspecting the work site and equipment that Garcia was working on at the time of the accident. Cal-OSHA will also be performing interviews with other employees that were working on the work site.

The company had no immediate comments on the incident and the accident is still under investigation.
There are no further reports at this time.

A multi-car accident at the intersection of Montwood Drive and McCrae Boulevard has injured four people. Four individuals were seriously injured and transported to a local hospital for immediate care. The extent of the injures is still unknown.

Police at the scene of the accident reported that a red pickup truck and white sedan were the two vehicles involved in the accident. The red pickup truck and white sedan both had a passenger. The two people in the white car were rescued with the Jaws of Life.

According to witness statements the crash occurred when the driver of the white car ran through a red light and crashed into the red truck.

The intersection of Montwood Drive and McCrae Blvd. is one of the most dangerous intersections throughout El Paso. Neighbors who live near the intersection told reporters that accidents are a monthly occurrence at the intersection.

Police are still investigating the accident and it’s still not clear if alcohol was the reason for the wreck.

2 Dead in Dekalb County

Dekalb County Police have reported 2 people dead and two others were injured in a car accident early Sunday morning. The accident was reported a single car accident in which the vehicle rolled over.

The accident happened around 5:30 at the cross section of Redan Road at Allgood Road. The backseat passengers who have been identified as Victor Carson and Cherika Carson died in the crash.

According to reports the 1996 Infiniti G30 was heading west on Redan Road. The driver of the vehicle who has been identified as Robert Wyche, Jr. lost control of his vehicle before heading off to the left shoulder of the road. The vehicle overturned several times and ejected Victor Carson out of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Cherika Carson was also pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The front seat passenger who has been identified as Anika Kelsay and the driver Wyche were immediately rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

There are no other reports at this time and the accident is still under investigation.

The Press of Atlantic City reports an 83-year-old man from Warminster was injured and a 76-year-old passenger has died after a head-on crash on the White Horse Pike in New Jersey. The accident occurred Saturday afternoon.

According to the latest reports the man who has been identified as Joackim Mechikas was driving east on White Horse Pike Saturday afternoon, when another vehicle driven by Damion Moore, of Philadelphia, was making a left turn. When Moore took the left turn he allegedly crashed into Mechikas.

Both Mechikas and Moore were rushed to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center and both are reported to be in critical condition. The passenger of the vehicle Mechikas was driving was identied as Elizabeth Stults of Riverside, N.J. Stults was later pronounced dead at AtlantiCare’s Mainland Campus.

The Hammonton police are still investigating the accident.

This was the second accident on White Horse Pike in as many days. Friday afternoon an accident was reported on White Horse Pike in which a motorist side swiped another vehicle before driving off the side of the road; however there were no reported injuries.

Volusia County Crash is Fatal

The Florida Highway Patrol reported early Sunday afternoon that a motorcyclist has died after a crash in Volusia County. The man was riding west on Bunnell Road died after losing control of his motorcycle and running off the road.

The man who has not yet been identified was speeding west on Bunnell Road. According to the Florida Highway Patrol the man was not wearing a helmet.

The motorcycle accident occurred when the man was heading around a narrow curve in the road and lost control of the bike. Reports indicate the man went off the road and hit a sign before landing into a fence near McGlon Road. The motorcycle immediately caught fire once the bike crashed.

The Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.

Newfield Crash Kills 3

A motor vehicle accident has killed 3 people dead Sunday morning in Newfield, NY. The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the accident.

According to initial reports a 1998 Chevy pick up truck was traveling west on Connecticut Hill Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle before striking a stone barrier. The truck flipped and overturned into a pond near the roadway.

Emergency crews were called to the scene of the accident where they pulled three people from the vehicle. There was one person that was announced dead at the scene of the accident and 2 others were transported to Cayuga Medical Center where they were pronounced dead.

Deputies were called to the scene of the accident around 1:45 but there is no indication of when the accident actually occurred. The investigation is currently ongoing.

One highway accident on I-275 in Detroit, MI is fatal. Part of the highway was closed for several hours after a woman lost control of her vehicle and crossed over two lanes before being hit by another vehicle. A man was charged with vehicular manslaughter, negligence along with other charges for a fatal auto accident on the Long Island Expressway. The accident happened early Sunday morning and the investigation is still ongoing.
