Accident near Paramus NJ Injures 1

A 23 year old woman lost control of her vehicle this afternoon, possibly because of blown tire. The woman was driving on state highway 208 in Bergen County, New Jersey when she struck another vehicle on the two lane highway before crashing into the left barrier. The driver, whose name has not yet been released, was traveling on state highway 208 near Paramus, when her 2008 Nissan Maxima began swerving out of control.

Whether the tire blew because the driver ran over something in the road is still unclear. According to reports, the driver of the Maxima was taken to a nearby hospital and under evaluation. Officials stated the accident could have been a lot worse if the driver was traveling at a higher speed. According to reports, the driver of the Maxima was merging onto state highway 208 from route 4.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were shook up but weren’t hurt.

The accident resulted in about a 20 minute delay from route 4 to 208 while crews cleaned up the scene of the accident. The crash is still under investigation and there are no future reports.
