A three-vehicle auto accident caused delays on a segment of State Highway 805 in West Palm Beach Tuesday afternoon. The accident happened between Fern Street and Hibiscus Street which is less than a mile from Royal Park Bridge. The crash sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries.
Emergency units responded to the collision around 4:15 p.m.
The accident happened when a driver of 2007 Honda Accord was heading south on 805 when he crossed over into the left lane and collided into a 2004 BMW. An SUV following close behind slammed into the Accord. According to initial reports, the driver of the SUV ended up hitting a curb before hitting the Accord from behind. The Accord ended up on the sidewalk near an office building.
There were two pedestrians that witnessed the accident. Both were being questioning.
The driver of the BMW was transported to a local hospital and was being treated for whiplash and injuries to his shoulder and back.
The accident is still under investigation.

Two Car Accident in Florida Leaves One Injured
This morning it was Jacksonville police reported a 2 car collision on Route 95 South inside Jacksonville City Limits. Motorist are warned that weather may have played a part in the accident. A statement was released that motorist driving through the area should use caution when traveling today.
