Text Messaging Increases the Number of Car Accidents
Recent studies have shown that text messaging is becoming an increased cause of car accidents throughout the United States. In the past cell phone use was a cause of many accidents on our streets and highways. The concern of cell phones causing an increase of accidents has been part of many states throughout the United States banning the use of cell phones while driving.
The most recent study by Findlaw a legal information site, has shown over half of adults from the age of 18-24 admit texting while driving. With the increase of cell phone use and text messaging most states are now considering following suite against the use of cell phones while driving.
Text messaging is a new way of communicating with friends, collegues and family. Unfortunately this new way of communication has been a result of thousands of accidents and the number is on a rapid increase. When people decide to text message while driving they are in essense endangering the lives of other motorist on our streets.
