Hoboken resident Ivonne Sanchez of Hoboken, New Jersey, won a $1 million settlement as a part of a drunk driving lawsuit, according to the latest news release.

Sanchez who was a victim of a drunk driving accident in 2007, was part of a hit and run. The drunk driver who was identified as Timothy Cavigliano of Linden, N.J. was alleged to have as many as 8 drinks before leaving the bar. The defendant in the case, Mr. Cavigliano pleads guilty to four counts of assault with an automobile in 2007 and was later sentenced to a year of imprisonment. He was later released after only serving three months.
