The family of an unarmed man have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the city of Oakland.The lawsuit was filed on Monday in U.S. District Court in San Francisco and alleges police officers Hector Jimenez and Jessica Borello shot Mr.
Moppin-Buckskin last year only to find out he was unarmed and not a threat. The plaintiffs are seeking $10 million in damages.
Police suggest that Moppin-Buckskin was shot when the police officers believed he was reaching for his waistline after he ran from his car during a routine traffic stop.
